I'm just a good ole boy from West By God Virginia, looking to get ahead in the world.  My first bike was a 1971 Honda Trail 70.  I wasn't even 5 years old, I couldn't even touch the ground on my first ride.  So to start and stop, I'd pull along side a hill in my back yard to stop and lean against it, to get on and off.  I've been riding ever since.  I raced motocross as a kid, on a 1981 Suzuki RM80.  Damn that bike was fast.  Bought it from a friend who raced.  Some of the most awesome childhood memories were made on that bike outrunning the cops.  When I out grew that one, I bought a 1980 something Yamaha XT250, then my senior year, my Dad gave me his 1982 Suzuki Katana 1000.  What a dumb idea, but I guess he thought, I'd get one some day anyway, so... That bike catapulted me to stardom, as THE fastest kid in Colliers W.Va.  Which wasn't too big a deal, considering there was a population of about 2000 people in Colliers at that time.  I joined the Navy out of high school and came out here to California for boot camp, and a couple western pacific tours on the USS John Young DD-973, "The Bone".  That was 30 years ago now, and I'm still doing what the Navy taught me, electronics.  It's been a spectacular ride so far.  Now that I'm over 50, things are kind of slowing down. But I do still race my Honda ATC 250R three wheeler out at the flat track in Campo.  The older I get, the faster I was!
